Policy making & Advocacy
Influence the formation of policies at a national and European level towards the development of an enterprise culture, to create favorable economic conditions for its members and to promote the interests of a wider business community. In order to do this, the ECC Policy Unit prepares well-researched technical papers on various thematic areas which include economic affairs, competition and competitiveness, energy and environment, international trade, taxation, labor and social aspects, research and innovation and sectoral issues raised by its sections and committees. These papers are presented to all relevant stakeholders locally and internationally and further lobbying is carried out to make sure the ECC’s position is taken into consideration. Through its memberships and affiliates in Europe ECC is well represented in various European social dialogue forums.

International Business Development
ECC’s to foster the economic growth and development of their members alike. In order to provide its members with the best quality services available in business support, the ECC engages in a series of projects which are designed to help businesses in a variety of fields. These projects and programs are often the result of collaborations ECC engages in with third parties, from government, to NGO’s, to private sector to follow interested organizations.

Under these three groups, members can set up business sections according to their sectoral interests. ECC provides a number of services to its members, and participates proactively in consultation and policy proposals with the corresponding government as well as at an EU level.
